My Accomplishments as a board member…
I have successfully advocated for fiscal responsibility and strong educational value for taxpayers.
I have successfully advocated to remove health and dental benefits for ISD 181 school board members. (This was a $23,000 per board member yearly expense to the school district.)
Increased fiscal transparency and planning. During my tenure as a school board member the level of discussion of fiscal matters have increased during the regular public school board meetings. I have met with multiple parent groups in an effort to hear and understand their concerns. I have remained accessible by phone, email or face to face meetings.
I have successfully advocated for student mental health needs to be consistently part of school board discussions and decisions.
As a school board we have provided oversight of improved school entrance security throughout the school district.
My Goals for the next four years…
